MP3 Players with SD or MMC Card Reader capability
and USB Mass Storage function
My search for a USB jumpdrive-like MP3 Player for around $100
Most people don't start the day saying to themselves, "I want to buy an MP3 Player today." After my morning coffee, I hopped onto ebay and began browsing around. I mindlessly typed "mp3 player" into the query field. Up came more than 6000 results. I decided to narrow it down a bit. "SD card mp3 player" narrowed it down to over 600 results. Too much of a good thing...
Trying to narrow it down a bit
With over 600 results in my narrowed search, I wanted to find out what devices had the best features and weren't going to break my bank. I started Googling. After a good 3 hours of searching, wading through spam sites and reading countless reviews, I present here my findings:
MP3 Players I looked at (all have SD slots):
Most of these players are available on eBay or from online retailers. Out of all of these, I finally decided on the Lexar LDP-600 (512MB) as it had themost internal memory and a lot of cool features (among them an FM Transmitter so I don't have to get a tape adapter or an external FM transmitter to listen in my car).
